Global Learning Initiative

Theological students from Madagascar learning hebrew by new tecnology

Global Learning Initiative

The Global Learning Initiative is a project established by Fjellhaug International University College Copenhagen (FIUC-CPH).

Our first goal is to develop a full online environment for facilitation and certification of learners based on performance-standards and plotted skills. Data from students in Copenhagen, Madagascar and Andrews University in the US help us build a learning journey environment.

Our second goal is to develop open resources for teaching, engage in collaboration with universities and seminaries, and engage in new global projects.

The primary goal of this research initiative is to support the continued development and use of Bible Online Learner for teaching of Biblical Hebrew. For this work we collaborate closely with the Eep Talstra Centre for Bible and Computer at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Faculty of Theology, where the director of Global Learning Initiative, Professor of Hebrew Bible and Information and Communication Technology, Nicolai Winther-Nielsen,  is an affiliated researcher.

For Greek, we collaborate with Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Harold Kime.
